A Questionnaire to Boston Music

Why Do You Love Music?

I love Music because I have always been able ot have a good understanding of it from a very young age. I started violin at the age of 3 and never stopped playing since. The idea of not playing at any age was never even in my mindset. I could always listen to a song and then emulate these notes on my violin so it became apart of me. I don’t know where I would be without classical music or the violin it is too much apart of what I love and who I am.

Describe A Time You Practiced Something and got Better At It?

About two years ago I practiced the Bach Concerto for two violins for a very long period of time. I find it easiest to learn the basics first. Then get into the dynamics, shape and articulation as I practice and refine. I learned a great deal about bow proportions, shape and rhythm from this piece. I advanced quite a bit in my violin playing by studying the Bach Concerto.
